PA Town Hall Meeting - Program Distribution Systems

The 2014 Town Hall meeting will involve a detailed exploration, with a panel of your peers, about the types of distribution used for various program classes and products. Effectiveness and results for each model will be discussed focusing on issues that include margin differentials, retention, territorial exclusives, required technology and more.

Audience response technology will be utilized to capture the experiences of Town Hall attendees and encourage participation in the discussion.

TMPAA Charities & Operation Welcome Home Maryland

TMPAA Charities is shifting its “Packages from Home” initiative for the 2014 Mid Year Meeting and focusing instead on our troops returning from active service.

Operation Welcome Home Maryland (OWHMD) organizes volunteers to go to BWI airport and greet the troops coming from overseas where they have been in harm's way. The volunteers generally have banners and signs with them and greet the troops when they step on American soil, shake their hands and thank them for their service. Each returning soldier receives a bag that contains a bottle of water, a few treats like candy bars, cookies, chips, etc. and a personalized card from the group who packed the bags, thanking them for their sacrifices. OWHMD also includes information about resources for the troops, such as crisis and hotline phone numbers, their website and where they can get free items or even shower at the airport. OWHMD greets between 7,000 and 10,000 troops each month. They estimate that they've greeted over 500,000 since their inception a few years ago.
