Mark Bernacki, Chief Underwriting Officer, Amwins

Mark R. Bernacki is the newly appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of Amwins, the first to serve in the role. Prior to that, Mark served as President of Amwins Special Risk Underwriters, LLC. In addition, Mark runs the Amwins Alternative Risk Transfer Team for Amwins. He was recently named to Insurance Business America's Hot 100 List in recognition of his forward thinking strategies and ability to turn unprecedented challenges into opportunity.

Prior to joining Amwins, Mark served as Head of Global Property and Head of US Property for Beazley Group PLC. Mark was also employed by Liberty Mutual Group, as VP of Broker Operations and Assistant VP of Midwest Operations. He holds dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom, giving him a unique perspective in the global insurance market. Mark received his degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison and has conducted MBA coursework at Rutgers University.

Bob Petrilli, President, Underwriting Division, Amwins

Robert “Bob” Petrilli serves as president of the Underwriting Division of Amwins. In this role, Bob oversees 14 operating companies that offer more than 90 in-house programs, representing over $2.6B in underwriting premium and one of the largest MGA platforms in the United States.

Before joining Amwins, Bob served as CEO, North America, for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Group Managing Director for Swiss Re Group. Prior to his tenure at Swiss Re, Bob worked at General Electric Industrial Risk Insurers (IRI) and GE Global Asset Protection Services (GE GAPS) in a variety of leadership roles, including General Counsel, Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Bob received his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law and his bachelor's degree in Economics from Iona College.
