Program Aggregator Membership
The Program Aggregator/Holding Company membership is a unique category of the TMPAA designed for companies that have significant involvement in the program space through ownership of separately branded program administrators, but do not themselves manage a specific program. Program Aggregator Membership requires one owned Program Administrator agency be a current and continuing TMPAA member that meets membership requirements. Program Administrators/MGAs who can verify their agency has at least one specialty insurance program with annual premium revenue of $1 million are eligible for TMPAA membership.
Special membership pricing is offered to separately brand all owned Program Administrator agencies within the TMPAA.
Program Aggregator Members can promote the unique opportunity they offer Program Administrators looking to expand their capabilities as part of a larger organization or develop a perpetuation plan for their agency. Promotion also includes the option of brand recognition through sponsorship of TMPAA meetings and events.
The TMPAA defines Program Business as insurance products targeted to a niche market or class, generally representing a book of similar risks placed with one carrier. Administration is done through Program Specialists who have developed an expertise in that market or class. Administrative responsibilities are negotiated between the Specialist and Carrier, but would include underwriting selection, binding, issuing, billing, and often marketing, premium collections, data gathering, claims management/loss control and possibly risk sharing. Program Specialists typically target their niches through differentiation either in product, risk management services, delivery mechanism or price. Specialists can distribute these programs through retail agents, wholesale brokers, or on a direct basis.
