Starwind adds pair of former TruPoint execs

August 14, 2024 [BUSINESS INSURANCE] - Starwind Specialty Insurance Services LLC, a division of CRC Group, Wednesday named former TruPoint Underwriters Inc. executives Tony McIntosh as a program president and Eric Morrison as an executive vice president.

Mr. McIntosh, based in Los Angeles, will be responsible for developing insurance programs with a primary focus on cannabis, CRC said in a statement. He was most recently consulting president and chief operating officer, at TruPoint.

Morrison, based near Kansas City, Missouri, will be involved with creating cannabis insurance products, the statement said.

He was most recently consulting chief underwriting officer at TruPoint.

Both report to Kunal Gulati, Starwind executive vice president, according to an email from a company spokesperson.

“Cannabis is a new specialty our Starwind team is building with the addition of Tony and Eric,” the email said.
