Thommes joins Aurenity from Old Republic Specialty where he was VP of Alternative Risks, with responsibility for a substantial portfolio of public entity and scholastic clients. He was previously Director of Public Entity at Safety National and has held both claims and underwriting roles in the sector at Brit USA. 

Aurenity recently announced their partnership with specialty re/insurer Vantage Risk through its Vantage Risk Specialty Insurance Company. The partnership will see Aurenity offer a mix of standalone and pool business on an excess basis with casualty capacity of up to $5m. In addition to public entities, the new program will also selectively target scholastic, higher education, and other non-profit business.
