Mr. Rappaport was most recently chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the company. He will continue to report to CEO William Jewett, according to an email from a spokesman.

Mr. Dagenais was most recently vice president, finance, of Obsidian and will continue to report to Mr. Rappaport, an Obsidian statement said.

The promotions follow last week’s notice that Obsidian hired former Swiss Re Ltd. executive Jeff Wittlich as chief underwriting officer.
