Amwins Program Underwriters’ Architects & Engineers Program Expands Appetite
Charlotte, NC., March 6, 2023 — Amwins Program Underwriters (APU), an operating company within the Amwins Underwriting division, offers a dedicated Architects & Engineers (A&E) professional liability solution. The A&E team recently expanded the program’s appetite to align with market opportunities.
The scope of the program has shifted from accepting professionals that generate $750K-$20M in annual revenue to professionals that generate between $100K-$30M in annual revenue. The new appetite is effective for accounts with renewal dates of 3/1/23 or later.

APU’s Architects & Engineers program entertains the following classes of business:
Architects
Engineers
Other design professionals
Agency construction managers
The following types of smaller accounts are ineligible for the program:
- Environmental engineers
- Geotechnical engineers
- Structural engineers
- At-risk construction managers
What’s out of scope?
Project restrictions: airports, airport terminals, arenas, convention centers, stadiums, bridges, condos, townhouses, corrections facilities, jails, dormitories, harbors, high rises (with more than 15 stories), mass transit, parking structures, piers, pools, residential (sub-divisions), and tunnels
Accounts with claims within the last five years
Project delivery types that are not design-bid-build
Availability
Admitted in all states except AK and WY (non-admitted in these two states)
