Kochman, who will be based in Pittsburgh, Penn., will be responsible for the development and placement of programs within the specialty insurance marketplace. He will work closely with program administrators, managing general agents and underwriters, insurance wholesalers and large retail brokers to expand their operations in the program business segment.

Kochman comes to Vital Insurance Partners having held numerous executive and c-level positions within his more than 30 years in the insurance industry. His experience includes developing a Workers’ Compensation Insurance Company from scratch, reinsurance placement, development and management of MGA/MGUs and sales management, as well as establishing senior level carrier relationships.

Most recently, he has held leadership positions at Highmark Life & Casualty, Ascinsure Specialty Risk and AAU, the specialty and program division of USG Inc.
