Schaumburg, Ill., February 26, 2013 – Zurich, a leading commercial property and casualty insurer, globally and in North America, announced the appointment of Roger Brunner as Head of Programs, a key component of the company’s Programs & Direct Markets business.
Mr. Brunner will report to Kathleen Savio, President of Programs & Direct Markets for Zurich in North America. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be based in Omaha, Neb.
“Programs business is a key component of Zurich’s portfolio in North America. In this role, Roger’s deep, diverse business and insurance expertise will further position Zurich for ongoing success in this crucial segment,†Savio said.
In his new role, Mr. Brunner will be responsible for the operational management of Zurich’s programs business, including underwriting, new program due diligence, sales, marketing and distribution.
Mr. Brunner, who has been with Zurich for more than 15 years, previously served as Head of Casualty and Property for Specialty Products, as well as chief operating officer of General Insurance Proposition Development. He also has a long history in the programs sector of the insurance marketplace.
Mr. Brunner earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Master of Education in Science Education at the University of Georgia.
