BI – December 23, 2020 – Sompo International Holdings Ltd. said it has acquired aviation industry provider W. Brown & Associates Insurance Services Inc., which has been a managing general underwriter for Sompo International since 2016.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

W. Brown & Associates “will remain intact” and become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sompo International, the statement said Tuesday.

Sompo International Holdings Ltd. is a specialty provider of property/casualty insurance and reinsurance, headquartered in Bermuda.

Aviation insurance and reinsurance is “a rapidly growing segment,” Sompo International said in the statement.
