Alpharetta, GA – April 15, 2015 – Maxum has hired Darwin Lucas to join the management team and head up the new standalone Programs Division. His initial focus will be on developing a Programs strategy for Maxum while building new relationships and leveraging existing ones.

Before joining Maxum Darwin was President of Regional Excess Underwriters, a national wholesale firm offering programs, underwriting and brokerage business. With over 30 years in the insurance industry, including both Broker and Carrier Programs management experience, Darwin will be instrumental in the strategic growth and development of Maxum’s Programs division.

Maxum will have seven underwriting divisions with the addition of a standalone Programs division. Other divisions include Binding, Casualty Brokerage, Professional Liability, Management Liability, Special Property and Specialty Inland Marine. Coverages written include general and excess liability, property and casualty binding authorities, professional liability, layered and shared primary and excess property catastrophe, and primary and excess inland marine. Additional coverages of directors & officers liability, employment practices liability and fiduciary liability will be written with the launch of the Management Liability division.
