Hiring of Don Fuchs Adds to Underwriting Expertise, As Greene Grows To 35 Employees
East Aurora, NY, February 6, 2017 — As an underwriting manager and wholesale broker in its 31st year of business, Greene & Associates based in East Aurora, NY, prides itself on in-depth underwriting for its three in-house, commercial umbrella facilities. Adding to that underwriting expertise, Greene announced this week the opening of its third office in Bradenton, FL and the hiring of Don Fuchs to its underwriting team. Fuchs adds over 35 years of underwriting experience to the Greene team, spending the last 25 years owning and operating McKell Risk.
“Greene has been a big player in the world of umbrella and excess for so many years, it’s great to be a part of their team,” Fuchs said. “They are one of the leaders in the industry and I’m happy to be a part of their growth.”
Fuchs, who took control of McKell risk from his father-in-law Patrick McKell, is a graduate of West Virginia University. He also previously worked for AIG and Continental Insurance in New York City. He lives with his wife and five children in Bradenton, Florida.

The opening of an office in Florida will be Greene’s first venture outside of the Northeastern United States after successfully opening a second location in Glastonbury, CT. in 2016.
