YORK, Pa. – 5 April 2017 – VFIS, a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, recently welcomed Doug Smerkar as a sales executive in Western PA. Smerkar previously worked for seven years as a producer selling VFIS products and has deep knowledge of the fire service industry.

He is also knowledgeable regarding best practices within this niche market which will make him a great asset to newer brokers or brokers looking to break into this sector.”

Doug is responsible for working with new and current brokers to write new business to grow the western PA territory and retain current business. He is also available to help brokers with the renewal process and write sales proposals.
