(September 10, 2014, York, PA) – Glatfelter Healthcare Practice (GHP) announces it is moving its senior living book of business to a new A.M. Best A Rated Carrier effective January 1, 2015. The newly updated program will be available, as needed, on both admitted and non-admitted paper. The GHP Houston office, formerly Bunker Hill Underwriting Agency, will continue to underwrite on behalf of the new carrier.

“We are excited to move our senior living program to a new insurer. Our new partner knows this class of business and together we expect to be the premier insurance program for senior living organizations,” Shawn Yingling, president of GHP, said.

The program will underwrite all lines of business except workers’ compensation. As in the past, GHP Senior Living will write the General Liability/Professional Liability on an occurrence basis. The program can also provide nose coverage for clients making the switch from claims made to occurrence.
