Mid Year Meeting
Success in Boston 
 
 
The 2011 TMPAA Mid Year Meeting provided program business opportunities for 570 attendees, a 10% increase over last year’s meeting attendance. Over 125 different program agencies were represented at the event along with 53 program carrier markets and 59 vendors.

Attendees were provided with valuable business management ideas from keynote speaker Tom Peters who challenged the group to focus on excellence in their operations. Peter Eastwood, President and CEO of Chartis US, engaged the group with a discussion on leadership in challenging times.

Best Practice Awards were presented to AmRisk, GMI Insurance Services and Bunker Hill Underwriters. Our first ever Program Marketing Awards were given to Ascinsure Specialty Risk, Oryx Insurance Brokerage Inc. and the Brownyard Group.

At the Mid Year Meeting in Boston, Greg Thompson, Target University Dean, and Past TMPAA President, announced the impending opening of Target University.
 
Each TMPAA Member can expect an email in the next two weeks that provides information about accessing and taking University courses.  Here is some useful information to have in advance of registering for University courses.
