Mr. Schofield joined Orchid in 2015 as the driving force to launch and grow the commercial lines division. What started as a BOP product in Florida, soon grew to eight states. Orchid expanded its appetite to offer coverage for over 400 classes of business on catastrophe exposed property in coastal areas. These targets include: Habitational, Lessors Risk, Hotels, Main Street business, amongst others. The Commercial Division also offers D&O, Crime, and Umbrella programs for Community Associations in Orchid’s 44 states. Mr. Schofield will lead the 2018 expansion, as Orchid prepares to grow its commercial footprint and product lines with programs to include Mobile Home/RV Communities, Wind Only, Builders Risk, EPLI and Cyber. Eight additional states along the east coast are set to launch in the first half of 2018.
